Process
To start this project, I selected the 1980s as the decade to inspire my designs, as I felt its vibrant and eclectic style resonated well with Shawn Mendes' album "Wonder." I started the album cover by creating a silhouette of Shawn to anchor the design. After some research, I decided to incorporate a rainbow, clouds, and flowers to evoke a hippie aesthetic, which I believed complemented both the album's style and title. I chose a palette of warm, hippie-inspired colors to enhance this vibe. I also experimented with typography from the era to ensure it matched the overall design theme. For the poster, I used the same design elements and style as the album cover to maintain consistency and then added concert information.
Throughout this project, I utilized Adobe Illustrator to execute the designs.
